Who Are
Roper?
Roper Fencing are manufacturers of
TOP QUALITY turned soft wood post & rail fencing as well as turned logs,
made to various dimensions.
Where
is our Timber sourced?
All our timber comes from registered British SUSTAINED forestry plantations.
What is
Roper Post & Rail Fencing?
Roper Fencing post and rail fencing features lathe-turned posts, domed
at one end and pre-drilled for one, two, three or four horizontal rails. (Other
rail combinations are available on request.) Cross rails are supplied uniformly
turned to standard lengths. The rails fit in to pre-drilled sockets in the
posits. NO EXTRA FASTENINGS ARE NEEDED
How is
Roper Fencing installed?
The fencing posts are planted in holes approx. 300 mm dia. and 1800 mm
apart. (If thinner posts are used, they are slightly closer together: see
tech spec.) Generally the posts can be secured b tamping down the soil, but
a light sand and cement mix is advised, especially for end posts. Cementing
is recommended for either very sandy soils, end-posts or when a gate is to
be hung from a post.
How Flexible
is Roper Fencing?
Roper Fencing can be used in nearly all terrain in which a hole can be
dug. The slightly oversized sockets compensate for any undulations in the
ground. CURVES can be accommodated by the same device. Tighter radii can be
achieved by using angle posts.
How is
Roper Fencing treated?
All Roper Fencing products are pressure treated with preservative to stringent
British Institute specifications to protect against rot and insect attack,
and to ensure a long and rugged service life in all outdoor conditions.
Appearance?
Roper Fencing products are supplied in either green or brown preservative
stained finish, but can easily be painted on site in many other colours using
high performance microporous paints to prolong the lifetime of the installation.
